MSE Agitation Impeller

MSE mixer can be used as an agitation impeller by installation of MSE mixer with a rotation shaft in a mixing vessel. A liquid is absorbed from an opening portion of the ring plates and discharged from the outer circumference of MSE agitation impeller in the mixing vessel. The liquid are mixed by distribution and joining with turbulence and vortex flow by passing through the small through holes of the stacked mixing elements.

 

 

MSE agitation impeller mix a fluid mildly since a power distribution is more uniform than existing impellers due to its surface area much larger than those. A fluctuation of the liquid surface is small.

A wind up agitation is possible since a fluid is wound up from only the bottom of the mixing vessel by installation of a blind plate to the top of the MSE agitation impeller.





Uniform agitation for deep mixing vessel
Uniform agitation is possible in the whole vertical direction even for a deep mixing vessel by installation of a plurality of the MSE agitation impellers.

Power consumption

Power consumption is important for an agitation impeller to show an amount of transportation energy from the impeller to a fluid. MSE agitation impeller has following characteristics as an example.
1) Power consumption increases as the number of stacked mixing elements is increased.
2) Power consumption changes by a hole size, the number of walls in radius and circular direction and etc.

Mixing performance

Mixing performance of MSE agitation impeller at 400rpm with flat blade disk turbine (FBDT) at 500rpm is shown below in comparison under the condition of the same power consumtion. The trend of an electric conductivity was measured for 90% glycerol solution after adding an appropriate amount of NaCl. MSE agitation impeller can reduce the mixing time by 20% and the dimensionless mixing time by 38% without the effect of rotation speed.


MSE Pump Mixer

MSE pump mixer is provided by installation of MSE mixer with shaft in a casing. MSE pump mixer can suck and mix a fluid in a casing and discharge it continuously.
Mixing condition can be controlled by a circulation flow rate inside pump mixer by the valve at discharge of the pump mixer (*1) and a circulation flow rate from the pump mixer to a mixing vessel by the valve in circulation line (*2).
